Liquid Wire
Lead Designer,
@ Liquid Wire inc.
—a deformable cable company focused on robotics & wearables.
My role bridged brand, product storytelling, and market exploration, supporting a startup through a key inflection point: from technological curiosity to market-ready solution.
2024-2025
Project Overview
At Liquid Wire, I joined as a designer during a critical early-growth phase: the technology was proven, but the market fit was still evolving. Our core innovation—a gallium-based stretchable metal gel interconnect—offered extraordinary flexibility and durability, but didn’t yet have a clearly defined commercial category.
Problem
I took on the communications challenge of helping position a product that was ahead of its time. My goal was to translate the complex, emerging tech into clear, compelling stories that resonated with different audiences, even before a single use case had proven dominance.
The Solution
To alleviate this gap, I developed a series of visual illustrations, animated videos, and communication strategies that positioned Liquid Wire’s deformable circuits within robotic systems—emphasizing their value as connective tissue in power and sensing without relying on existing robot brands or models. These visuals helped stakeholders envision our role in humanoid robotics without misleading associations or overpromising capabilities.
Results
By distilling complex tech into compelling, modular narratives, I helped pave the way for Liquid Wire to secure strategic partnerships and confidently position itself in the emerging robotics market.
